The sales executive will be responsible for all sales to new clients in an assigned channel and/or geographic region. In addition, the sales exec will be the lead Burgiss professional for the assigned coverage area with light oversight of the relationship management function and lead generation process in the territory.
This is a senior and strategically important role. A strong candidate will not only possess appropriate business development skills but will also demonstrate an ability to lead, think and operate strategically, cultivate internal relationships and manage resources, expenses and growth. The successful candidate must be able to operate independently and display a high level of energy and engagement. Importantly, the sales executive must ensure that Burgiss’ reputation as a premier provider of decision support tools for private capital investors persists and grows.
BA, BS or equivalent from an accredited four-year college.
CAIA or CFA, or commitment to earn designation.
Direct sales experience in the asset management, financial services and/or fintech space.
Proven record of successfully building and maintaining new relationships with sophisticated investors.
Proven record of selling new products and services to new clients and closing sales.
Thorough understanding of the capital markets in general and private capital in particular; knowledge of and ability to leverage the decision making process of private capital investors.
Strong software skills and overall technical aptitude including comfort with systems for the analysis, reporting, storage and measurement of data.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work independently; entrepreneurial.
7-plus years of experience.
