Through charitable and cultural sponsorships, Burgiss seeks to make a positive social impact and give back to our communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the following organizations.
Private Equity Cares
Burgiss is proud to partner with Help for Children (HFC), an organization supported by the alternative investment industry, to help aid in the fight against child abuse. Child abuse is estimated to affect 40 million children worldwide every year. HFC has given more than $51 million in grants over the last 20 years to effective child abuse prevention and treatment interventions.
Burgiss works with the Hudson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), an independent, non-profit organization committed to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA works through trained community volunteers to ensure that needed services are available to foster children while helping to move them toward safe and permanent homes.
Burgiss sponsors the Pebbles Project, a program enriching the lives of disadvantaged children and families in the Winelands farming communities in the Western Cape of South Africa. With an emphasis on education, the program impacts the lives of children and their families by providing support and intervention in five key areas: education, health, nutrition, community and protection.
Hoboken Cultural Events
Each year, Burgiss sponsors Concerts in the Park in Hoboken, NJ, as part of a program administered by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs. As part of the 2017 program, Burgiss individually sponsored events featuring The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, as well as Julio Fernandez & Friends.
